Professor Jeffrey Alan Lockwood is an entomologist 'A dead grasshopper on a path.' and philosopher at the University of Wyoming. He has authored several publications on our ethical relationship with insects, including "The Moral Standing of Insects and the Ethics of Extinction," Florida Entomologist (1987) and "Not to Harm a Fly: Our Ethical Obligations to Insects," Between the Species (1988).
